Dr. Oz’s Tummy-Flattening 10-Minute Beans and Rice

Dr. Oz has some of the best recipes for being healthier and you don’t have to sacrifice the flavor!! Just browsing through his meals makes my mouth water! I just happened to stumble upon this tasty recipe right after doing an abs workout so I thought, why not share it with my friends? Let me know if you like it!! Post on my Facebook page.

This recipe is super quick, super healthy and super good! The best part about it is its ability to help you get a flatter stomach due to the 6 grams of fiber in both the black beans and the brown rice. This recipe takes all of 10 minutes to make and can be packed up for lunch for several days!

 Serves 4 (Serving Size: 3/4 cup)Dr. Oz Brown Rice and Black Beans

2 cups brown rice, long grain, prepared ahead of time and frozen if possible 
12 oz black beans, unsalted, fat free
1 tsp garlic salt
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

 Take frozen already cooked brown rice and warm with olive oil in a pot.

Drain black beans and add to rice along with garlic salt. Cook until heated through.

Serve and mix in chopped cilantro in at the table, if desired. Enjoy!
